Due to the size of our organization, we are unable to assist individual families directly. However, families are encouraged to register with their local non-profit organizations to receive toys through the Toys for Tots program.

We kindly ask that you explore our website thoroughly before reaching out with questions, as many answers are readily available here. Each moment we spend on the phone is time we could be dedicating to serving the children in our community.

To Host an event 
What Does it Mean to Host a Toys for Tots Event? 
Hosting an event means your organization—whether a company, social club, volunteer group, or other entity—can support the Toys for Tots program by collecting toys for children in need. After signing up, you have the option to request uniformed Marines to attend your event, where they will collect the toys and donations, and share the spirit of Toys for Tots with your community. 

Once your request is submitted, your local campaign coordinator will reach out to help you organize and finalize the details for your event. We look forward to partnering with you to bring joy to children this holiday season!

Become an Official Toys for Tots Drop Site  

Applications to host a Toys for Tots donation box for the 2026 season will open october 1st. Thank you to every business, school, and community group that signed up to support local kids this year.

If you’d still like to donate toys, you can easily find an approved drop-off location through our website or the official Toys for Tots app. Your generosity helps bring holiday joy to children across Alameda County!

Volunteer with Toys for Tots
We’re always in need of dedicated volunteers to help with a variety of tasks, including distributing donation boxes, collecting toys, sorting donations, and delivering them to our vetted nonprofit partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for companies looking for team-building activities, high school and college community service groups, or anyone eager to make a difference in their local community during the holiday season.

Request Toys for Your Organization
If your nonprofit is seeking toys for children in need, please complete the form linked below. Be sure to provide accurate contact information and your valid 501(c)(3) tax-exempt number. Once your request is reviewed and approved, you will receive a follow-up email with detailed instructions.

Please note, while we strive to support as many organizations as possible, our ability to provide toys depends on the number of donations we receive each year. Submitting an application does not guarantee receipt of toys, and we can only accept one request per nonprofit EIN. Thank you for your understanding and for partnering with us to make the holidays brighter for the children in our community.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALAMEDA COUNTY

During  any official Toys For Tots events in which Marines are present.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity, serves as the fundraising and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Established in 1991 at the request of the U.S. Marine Corps, the Foundation operates under a formal agreement with the Commander of Marine Forces Reserve, who oversees the program.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season and distribute them as gifts to children in need within the local Alameda County community. Whenever Marines are present at official Toys for Tots events, they help to foster a spirit of giving and joy that makes the holidays brighter for all.
